It has been quite a while when I covered a wedding, seven months to be exact. Today I covered a wedding of a young couple, Chester and She at the Immaculate Conception Parish Church in Dasmariñas, Cavite, reception followed at the groom’s residence, also in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Bryan + Christine: Garden Wedding at El Palacio Hotel

For my last schedule for this month (and for the year as well), I covered a wedding of a police officer and his beautiful wife in a Christian Wedding ceremony at El Palacio Hotel in Cavite City last Saturday, December 19, 2009. Reception followed at the same venue after the ceremony.

This was my fourth wedding photo coverage, the third was a ‘non-official’ shoot of my friend’s wedding at the EDSA Shrine. Hope to get more clients next year.

Andrew + Karen: Garden Wedding at Island Cove

I did my second wedding shoot for the month yesterday, December 12, 2009. It was a garden wedding held at the garden of Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite. Andrew and Karen’s first meal together as husband and wife happened at the Tejeros Grand Ballroom of the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park.

Aila Marie at Eighteen

After almost 4 months of lay-off, I’m back shooting events again. Yesterday, I was commissioned to shoot Aila Marie’s Eighteenth Birthday party at the Paradiso Terrestre in Molino, Bacoor, Cavite (just a few minutes away from SM Molino.

It feels like being a newbie again, being sidelined for quite a while has made me a little bit rusty. Check out my latest work, not much post-processing was made on the photos and most of the photos were taken using the available lights.

Two Years of Existence

I recently celebrated my 2nd Year as Events & Wedding Photographer, it was in June 2007 when I first asked to shoot a wedding & as they say, the rest is history.

To support the promotion of my being a Wedding Photographer, I registered this domain 5 months after and now it’s celebrating its 2nd year of existence.

I would admit that this year is quite slow, I didn’t have as much clients as I got in my first year. I can state 2 reason for such, first was I got busy with my other career, being (or rather aspiring to be) an SEO Consultant and secondly, the business is full of cut-throat practitioners, I will dedicate a post for this topic.

I just wish business would be better next year.

Republic of Cavite Restaurant

I posted an entry on my personal blog about a free food tasting activity at the Republic of Cavite Restaurant in Trece Martires City.

It happened yesterday, September 5, 2009, I wasn’t able to bring my DSLR since it was raining hard, I shoot the following photos using iPhone.

Aside from serving their regular menu that they serve on a day to day basis, the restaurant also serves as a party venue for weddings and other functions.

We were offered the restaurant’s best-sellers, including the famous Ginataang Tulingan and Kinulot na Page and rice delicacies like Lihim ni Lola & Peche-peche as desserts.

I’m not a food expert, although I’ve tasted a lot of different menu prepared by different caterer (each time I shoot weddings), but I could honestly say that the fish dishes (which I don’t normally see in a wedding reception) was my favorite. With regards to the desserts, I would prefer it to be lighter, I think rice delicacies is quite heavy for a dessert.

Marky + Lot – Wedding at Paco Park

After more than two months since my last wedding shoot, I felt a little rusty. Yesterday, we covered the wedding of Maky and Lot at the Chapel of St. Pancratius inside Paco Park. Reception was held at the Banquet room of the Garden Plaza Hotel, also in Paco, Manila.

You might notice that all photos are in black & white, I just tried a different approach in presenting a wedding, I used different black & white post processing techniques to highlight the drama of the event.
